Ultrasound and Radiology

We have an internal medicine specialist, Dr. Paolo Porzio DVM, DACVIM that performs ultrasounds on our feline patients at our clinic.

Ultrasound is a diagnostic imaging technique similar to radiography (X-rays). It allows visualization of the deep structures of the body and can be used to examine the cat's heart, kidneys, liver, digestive tract, and other internal organs.

At the Downtown Toronto Cat Clinic we diagnose heart murmurs in cats frequently. We recommend that every cat with a heart murmur even if the cat is having no clinical signs have a cardiac ultrasound.  This is preventative medicine so that we can prolong your cat’s life and treat the disease early before symptoms occur.
